The Ziegelhaus stands on historic clay ground. Bricks were fired here for over 100 years — half of Munich’s northern districts are built from this clay. What once fed the workers of the surrounding factories is today one of the most versatile event venues in Munich.
Today we fire different things: corn tortillas on the plancha, chipotle glaze on spare ribs, a linden tree that has grown over the beer garden for almost 60 years. What remains is the idea: honest craft, generous portions, room for everyone — and with it the perfect setting for your next celebration, whether wedding, corporate event or birthday.

2026
650 seats, one event venue
Four areas, 650 seats, one address: today the Ziegelhaus is the event venue in Munich for families, companies and every private celebration.
2022
Stage and bar
A wooden stage in the beer garden, an outdoor bar with a mezcal list. The first free wedding ceremonies under the linden tree make the Ziegelhaus a wedding venue in northern Munich.
2015
Winter garden & playground
With the heated winter garden the house opens 360 days a year. The fenced playground makes us a family address — perfect for child-friendly events and celebrations.
2007
The Tex-Mex turn
The family takes over the house and brings Tex-Mex cooking from Texas to Munich. Munich’s first Tex-Mex beer garden is born — and with it a culinary event venue.
1989
The beer garden arrives
The linden tree is planted and the beer garden opens with 240 seats. The first Saturday-night concerts lay the groundwork for a true open-air event venue.
1972
Founding
On the old brickworks site the first Ziegelhaus opens as a tavern for the workers of the surrounding factories. Even then, a place where people come together.
